titties and skin. 50's and rims.

Ok ok I know it has been a while since I posted. But to be honest, I have not really done anything that interesting and I don't want to just post random things. I decided that I really want to keep this thing focused on my photography. So I have been going to this photography class and I have been to about 3 classes. My teacher is a trip and tells stories of when he was an army photographer in Vietnam and how he walked across the US when he got out. He takes some pretty good pics. His name is Valentine and his website is www.valentinesvalentine.com.

I have not really been doing as much photography as I would like. But today I went out to Sandy Hook in search of some interesting pics since it was a nice day out. Here are some of the results. You can check out the rest on my flickr or my myspace.

"Your new lesson is to realize the mission when you hear it." Q Tip

So I am a little more than a month into the actual sales part of my job at CDW and it is what it is...a job. I look at it as a stepping stone to bigger and better things. I am not sure of what I want to do but I know I want it to be something I like. And I know everyone says that, but I am already starting to make moves. Notorious B I G said it best "either you're slinging crack rock or you got a wicked jump shot." Right now I guess computers are my crack rock and I am hoping photography can be my jump shot. I am taking a photography class next month so hopefully that will get me started off right. My Dad is a published photographer and he is teaching me all he knows; not to mention the library of books my dad has on photography. So lets see where it takes me. I am going to post pretty much everything I shoot so any feedback whether its good or bad helps me out. SO please let me know what you think. Here are a couple new pics from the past couple days

Escuchela...la ciudad, respirando

I haven't been able to get enough of this song lately. It makes me realize how much I hate mainstream hip hop. I would really like to punch Soulja Boy (however he spells it) and everyone else who does that stupid dance right in the ear. Yea thats right, in the ear...cause that shit hurts. BlackStar Kills it in this song and I wish Mos Def and Talib would just make another album together. Any way here it is...enjoy, cause I have.

from city to city, back yard to yard. we be seeing the sights, standing under the lights.

So I got my new camera and I'm in love with it. I still have to figure everything out on it but I think that will come fairly quick. So The Reno came thru last night and we went on a journey today. Reno has the cannon g9 and that thing is sick. We spent about an hour just in my house taking pics and what not. Then we started the journey all around LB taking pictures of everything. He has a bunch that came out great. Hopefully he will post them somewhere soon. Most likely he will sleep on it and those pictures will never be seen. haha. But anyway, here are some of the ones I took. I also posted some on my Flickr account and some on my Myspace profile since I didn't have enough room on my Flickr account. Check em out and please comment and let me know what you think. O and you should be listening to Stephen Marley right now. Especially the song Hey Baby feat. Mos Def. That is going to break into the top 30 most played on my itunes in no time.

my shit bust like busta rhymes doin lines of coke. WOOOHAA

The Gaslight Anthem show last friday was insane. I gained a whole new respect for them since I came out of the show completely covered in sweat and I havent done that in quite some time. They played pretty much all of their songs with some of the new ones. Ill have what few pictures and video I took up soon.

On another note I am trying to become somewhat of a serious photographer. I know it will take a long time before I can call myself a decent photographer but the first step I am taking is buying a new DSLR. I am torn between the Olympus E510 and the Nikon D40x. Any suggestions? Also if anyone has any thing that they think would give me good practice let me know. I am open to anything such as portraits, events, or anything else you can really think of...except any freaky pics..unless you're hot.

Tonight the coast line is quiet

Tomorrow everyone should go to the Court Tavern in New Brunswick to see The Gaslight Anthem. Sink or Swim is definitely one of my favorite albums of 2007. Here is their performance at The Fest in Florida. This show looks pretty sick, just imagine what it will be like with them playing in their home town. Go...I am.

konichiwa bitches

Even tho they were pretty late, the Christmas gifts my girlfriend Lisa gave me were ridiculous. First of all she fed my addiction to fitted new eras by giving me probably the sickest NJ Devils hat I have ever seen. Second she gave me a skateboard art book called "Concrete 2 Canvas: More Skateboarders' Art." It has one of my favorite artists, Jeremy Fish, in it. I recently just got a hold of a limited edition set of 3 skateboards by Jeremy Fish and they are currently hanging on my wall. She also did this awesome Battle of Los Angeles album art on a record with spray paint. its amazing. Her gifts pretty much touched on all of the things I love: New Eras, The Devils, art books, and Rage....awesome.

Gorillaz Video for Rockit

new year

Happy New Year everyone. My night was pretty fun until I lost my phone. To make myself feel better I am gonna think that I got pick pocketed. Getting pick pocketed didn't really go like i thought it would. There was no monkey playing an instrument with a small child running around. Anyway the bar we were at, Sequoia in NYC, was pretty tight. I am glad we did the VIP cause it was ridiculously crowded in the main area. I am pretty pissed that I didn't have my camera with me because I lost my charger for it. But o well I probably would have lost it anyway. Here are some of those pics.

last friday

The Bouncing Souls show last Friday was pretty awesome. Tom and I drank before the show at this bar called the Brick Wall in Asbury right on Cookmen Ave. The bar was pretty nice and its good to see Asbury makin moves. The Souls played a lot of the true fan songs which was a nice surprise. I was especially stoked to hear Private Radio and That Song, 2 of my favs. I was a little too drunk to get some good pics but here are the ones that I managed to get.
